Now making more time for my passion.  I have a 3 year old son who is mad into the blues.  Have made plans for a few games this season. About Me

Brummie living in County Offaly for the past 5 years and a bit. I'm sorry but I just cannot take to hurling.

Debut at St. Andrews: versus Southampton 72/73 season as a 5 year old.

Followed Blues home & away for many seasons but since moving to Offaly my appearances at St. Andrews have remained somewhat limited although I did manage to attend 7 matches last season (2009/10).

I've suffered pain, agony, sadness and madness supporting my team throughout the years but I've also experienced rare moments of sheer unrivalled ecstasy which only a genuine football supporter can truly appreciate.

I've stood amongst 44,000 people at St. Andrews and I've stood amongst 4,000 people at St. Andrews. I miss standing at St. Andrews.

Those from the non-footballing community may find it slightly puzzling perhaps, how a heterosexual male such as I has managed to fall head over heels in love with such a vast array of men throughout the years; but I have. Most notably: Trevor Francis, Kenny Burns, Bob Latchford, Bob Hatton, Gordon Taylor, Roger Hynd, Colin Todd, David Langan, Mark Dennis, Frank Worthington, Mick Harford, Tony Coton, Noel Blake, Howard Gayle, Robert Hopkins, Pat Van Den Hauwe, Wayne Clarke, Nigel Gleghorn, Paul Peschisolido, Steve Claridge, Liam Daish, Kevin Francis, Damien Johnson, Geoff Horsfield..... I could go on, and on, and on. I even had a brief love affair with Robbie Savage before he walked out on me. And yes, I admit unashamedly to having loved Dicks and Seaman too.

I've endured the bad times and revelled in the good times.

Birmingham City has broken my heart many, many times yet I accept her back unconditionally every time because I love her so much. I've seen a 3-0 half-time lead develop into a bewildering 4-3 defeat. I've watched in utter disbelief a 4-1 advantage evaporate before my very eyes, resulting in a 6-4 defeat. I've witnessed an abundance of inexplicably embarrassing misses and copious amounts of diabolical defending yet I've been priviledged also to have viewed many great players and celebrated many memorable goals. My roller coaster ride to date has been worth it though, now that my current level of optimism has reached an all-time high.

Keep Right On.
