my view on the day should have been a few beers to see our Blues at wembley and nothing else.I was so wrong. Some of the lads said we would win but i thought it was blind faith. Our day started badly as the pub (The Green Man) we went to was so full we had to get cans from the aldi (in the rain as well).we left and went the ground to see our lads get a hiding as i thought. Our boys showed the heart the arsenal didnt have on the day and the fight to win at all costs.Seeing some of our boys crying at the final whistle told its own story to me as we may never see any thing like this for a good few years. The winning goal seemed to take forever to go in and we had a great view as well, as we were centre of the goal but all the way at the back.I also met a good few lads who i have known for years on the website but never met. The evening in london was a great night as well, popping open a bottle of champagne in front of a pub full of arsenal was priceless (even one arsenal fan bought us all a round of whiskeys).

Dont know if I could explain what an emotional roller coaster that day was. Decided to stop over at the Wembley hilton (what a great decision that was) drank there pre match, met my one son who is in the army in Germany. He came over with a mate, my other son was already in London, he went down Friday afternoon and did Camden, on his way to the ground an old mate of mine JB from Aus stopped him in the street and said `your Des`s son arent you` (JB had seen him once only on a family pic i sent) Shaun acknowledged it and brought him to the hotel.
In the lounge we were all talking and having photos took with the Horse! My Mrs loved it. Brill then off to the game..Still cannot believe how well we played, tactically Mcleish got it spot on. Never ever thought we would win, looked at clock on 80 mins and said `well we havent disgraced ourselves` Then Martins scores look at clock again 90 mins gone...OMG we are going to win something!! The experience of seeing my club win something just amazing, after the match had a few more bevvies but couldnt wait to see MOTD and listen to the pundits praising us up! Even as I relive this I can feel a smile creeping over my face, My screensaver on my phone is that fantastic pic of our flag draped over the gates at Vile Park with the legendary message `WHILE WE`RE AT WEMBLEY THE CITY IS YOURS!!!
